"Night Pony" 24" x 24" Giclée print on canvas, limited edition of 95 signed and numbered.

"In the darkness the sound of the thundering hooves and the smell of dust stirred the vision of the "Night Pony". His Grandfather had spoke of this vision many times in his younger years but now was the first time he had the vision come to him. Grandfather was an old man now and his stories of this vision were faded and blurred with age. His shield painted with rain falling on the path of the great buffalo told of a new beginning for the people. The empty rock that Grandfather had made for him to wear on his neck was said to be a part of the story. A great light made by the rock had broke away from the sun in the night to show the way to the great buffalo herd. It was told that Great Spirit had filled the rock with many ponies and when it struck Mother Earth it broke open spilling the ponies out for the people. The hunt was a good one and the Medicine Man found the rock under the big bull that was brought down first by his Grandfather. The Medicine Man kept the rock hidden many years and only brought it out for the people to see when the story was told. The Medicine Man told his Grandfather to paint the shield with the rain falling and the light behind the buffalo to show its path to the people. In his last days the Medicine Man brought out the rock and told his Grandfather that one day he would give this rock to his Grandson along with the story of the "Night Pony". How Great Spirit had sent the gift of the pony so the people could hunt more swiftly. Look into the night sky and follow the falling rock, it will bring your people many ponies for the next hunt of the great buffalo."  -Cha' Tullis
